Website is back!

After a long period of offline-ness, my website is finally back!  A while back, I had become very frustrated with a variety of issues I was having with the site and the server, and I really didn't have enough time to maintain it, so I just took it offline.  For part of that time, I had my website pointing to a temporary site at http://www4.ncsu.edu/~mamarley.  It was usually broken though.  About a week ago, I brought my old webserver online, first switching email services from the old Google/Gmail based system to a local Postfix/Dovecot stack.  I then brought the HTTP site online as well.  After a long period of swapping between CMSes trying to find something that was both fast and W3c-compliant, finally settling on Drupal 7 (actually still in alpha!).

First Blog Post

This is my first blog post!  Yay!

Web Design Project: ahavajewelrydesigns.com

I designed this website for my two-time English teacher Carolyn Gibbs's custom jewelry business.  It is a full eCommerce site, with user accounts, a cart, and purchasing.  I also took many of the photos of the items (sorry for the bad lighting!).  The site is mostly W3C-compliant at the current point, but there are still a few small problems I must resolve.  Enough talk, just go have a look at the site:  http://ahavajewelrydesigns.com
