Volume settings starting too high

Hi!

After installing the driver, the minimal volume setting (1%) blasts out like when volume was at like 75%. (and i don't have the integrated subwoofer anymore but i always needed dell's original driver for that to work)

I tried looking around and i currently don't see any way to fix this, has this occured with others?

I have a Inspiron 9400 (E1705)

I know on some hardware the sliders seem to be out-of-sync with the actual volume when the driver is first installed.  Are you able to reduce the volume at all?

Barely, from 1% to 100% internal speakers sound almost the same.

But i have to add, i forgot to mention, with external speakers at line out, the slider works as it should.

This is quite strange.  I haven't seen any problem like this on any of the hardware I have tested the driver with.  Do previous versions of the driver behave the same way?

Very few did, but it happened on previous versions.

With modded versions i usually only lost the integrated sub woofer, i'd need to go back to the Dell version from 5 years ago to get that to work.
