I don't know how I missed it, but MySQL got updated 4 times since the official version in Ubuntu.  Today, I just compiled and installed MySQL 5.1.41 on my server.  Bugfixes and security improvements only, I believe.  I am excited for the release of MySQL 5.5, however, because it should bring performance improvements.
