New server specs

I posted a few days earlier that I had upgraded the webserver for my site. Here are the new specs:

Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.00gHz
Intel 875/ICH5 chipset
2GB DDR RAM
500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 SATA HDD
3Com 3c905cx-tx ethernet adapter

Kubuntu 10.04 w/ custom 2.6.32-zen kernel
Apache 2.2.14, PHP 5.3.1 fcgi, eAccelerator 0.9.6rc, MySQL 5.1.37
Drupal 6.14 with a bunch of add-on modules

The new server runs pretty much the same software arrangement as the old one, but has significantly faster hardware. The ethernet card is the same, though. Even though the new server has an inbuilt ethernet adapter, I used the 3Com unit because it supports hardware checksumming and scatter/gather. I had originally planned to transfer over the SQL database and the Drupal installation from the old server, but when I was attempting to install the old server's hard disk in the new one, I accidentally plugged in the PATA connector upside-down. Because the key position was blocked, this caused one of the pins on the hard disk to be pushed in, rendering the hard disk useless. Therefore, I had to start fresh.
