I have only been here (Summer School) one day and some idiot has already set off the fire alarm.  About 10 minutes after I got back from the floor meeting, the firealarm sounded.  At first, I thought it was a drill, but when I got outside I heard a guy talking about how he and some friends had been trying to cook hamburgers inside (Idiots!) and set off the firealarm.  At least it wasn't T-storming at the time, like it has been for most of the day.  I just hope this doesn't happen alot.

Well, I got my new, working i5300 wireless card the other day.  Not much to say, other than it works, and it is blazing fast!

This morning I got to go over to my old high school to see the Best Chemistry Teacher in the World^® (Mr. Vernon) do the Flame Tower^®, the coolest chemistry experiment there is.  He puts lycopodium powder into a metal tube with a candle at the bottom.  When there gets to be enough powder in the tube, it catches on fire and blow a large fireball out the top.  There is a YouTube video here.  (Sorry about the quality; it appears to have been shot with a cellphone.)  You really have to see it to get the true idea of what its like, though.

A few days ago I ordered a new Intel 5300 WiFi card for my Dell Vostro 1500 laptop, but it turned out that I was tricked into accidentally buying the wrong card. :-(  I got an HP-only card that won't work with my PC, so I had to RMA it and order another one that I was sure about.  Now, it looks like I will be stuck using my old 3945 for at least another week. :-(  (My 4965 broke, and thats why I bought the 5300.)

I recently found out that I actually passed Calculus II class at NCSU.  I wasn't sure if I was going to, so this is great news!  Now I get to go to summer school. :-) :-( Not sure...
